International Paper plans to convert its No. 16 paper machine at the Riverdale mill in Selma, Alabama to produce containerboard by Q3 2026. The mill currently supplies Sylvamo with 260,000 short tons of cutsize uncoated freesheet annually. Sylvamo will support customers throughout the transition, which aligns with the company's long-term strategy.
