Sydney Zoo Faces Another Tragedy with Giraffe and Unborn Calf Deaths

A giraffe named Nzuri and her unborn calf have died at Sydney Zoo. Despite staff efforts, Nzuri was euthanized to prevent further suffering. This is the third giraffe death at the zoo since 2020. In 2020, a giraffe named Gigi died suddenly, and in 2021, a chimpanzee named Mogli drowned in its enclosure. A bull shark death also occurred in the zoo's aquarium in May.
