Two British men, Daniel Graham and Adam Carruthers, have been sentenced to four years and three months in prison for cutting down the famous Sycamore Gap tree in Northumberland National Park. The tree, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was a popular tourist destination and had been featured in the film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Graham and Carruthers were found guilty of criminal damage and had previously denied their involvement in the act.
