SurgePays, a wireless, fintech, and point-of-sale technology company, has introduced a new family of "phone-in-a-box" prepaid smartphones under its LinkUp Mobile MVNO brand. Operating on the AT&T network, these devices are specifically designed for convenience stores and non-wireless retail channels. The new service offers two models: The Better Phone and The Best Phone, both preloaded with a SIM card and including the first month of prepaid service.

The Better Phone features a 6.3-inch screen, 32GB storage, and 2GB RAM. The Best Phone, on the other hand, offers a 6.5-inch screen, 32GB storage, and 3GB RAM expandable to 6GB. Both models come with 12GB of domestic data and unlimited voice and text within the US, Canada, and Mexico for a monthly fee of $30. The service requires no credit checks or contracts, with a simple six-question activation process designed for grab-and-go convenience.

This move by SurgePays aims to provide a convenient and accessible communication solution for retail environments. The company's focus on prepaid services and no-contract plans aligns with the growing trend of consumers seeking flexible and cost-effective telecommunications options.
