SuperImage’s Decentralized AI Cuts Image Costs 90% with $5M Boost

SuperImage, a decentralized AI image generation and editing platform, has completed a $5 million strategic funding round led by Genesis Block Capital, according to a report by PANews. The capital infusion aims to accelerate product upgrades and global expansion, with a focus on advancing decentralized AI image applications. The platform, which launched in June 2023, operates on a decentralized GPU network that aggregates idle computing power globally, enabling users to mine using home or professional GPUs and earn $SIC token rewards.

The platform’s technology employs multiple latent text-to-image diffusion models, including Hidream, Flux Dev, and Sana, to generate high-resolution images at a cost approximately one-tenth of centralized alternatives. Users input text prompts to create images, with the system leveraging distributed GPU miners to process models locally on user devices. This decentralized approach supports multilingual input, custom model imports, and a token-based incentive system tied to the SIC token, which runs on the DeepBrainChain blockchain.

Key features include a Telegram-based text-to-image tool launched in September 2024, offering users a streamlined AI creation experience. The platform’s GPU network allows global participation, with machines earning hourly SIC rewards for contributing computing power. Additionally, the $SIC token distribution includes airdrop mechanisms for DBC token holders and exchange users, alongside task-based and user verification rewards.

The funding round underscores growing interest in Web3-integrated AI solutions. By decentralizing image generation, SuperImage aims to reduce costs and democratize access to advanced AI tools. The platform’s ability to aggregate idle computing resources addresses scalability challenges in centralized systems, according to its operational model.
