Sumsub has integrated with Verax, an attestation protocol built on Ethereum Layer 2 network Linea, to deliver reusable, privacy-first identity credentials on-chain. The solution allows Web3 users to create a Sumsub ID, undergo a liveness check, and connect their MetaMask wallet for an AML background check, receiving a gas-free on-chain attestation to their wallet address. This integration aims to streamline compliance while preserving user privacy and enhance onboarding speed, interoperability, and user trust in Web3 environments.

Sumsub has announced a strategic integration with Verax, an attestation protocol built on Ethereum Layer 2 network Linea, to deliver reusable, privacy-first identity credentials on-chain. This collaboration aims to streamline compliance processes while preserving user privacy and enhancing onboarding speed in Web3 environments.

The integration allows Web3 users to create a Sumsub ID, undergo a liveness check to confirm their humanity, and connect their MetaMask wallet for an AML background check. Upon successful verification, Sumsub issues a gas-free on-chain attestation to the user's wallet address via the Verax Attestation Service. This credential is recorded on the Linea blockchain and becomes visible in the network explorer.

The new solution offers several benefits, including:

- Enhanced Onboarding Speed: The integration can reduce onboarding times by up to 50% and boost conversion rates by 30%, according to Sumsub's internal data [1].
- Improved User Experience: By eliminating the need for document uploads and allowing users to reuse their credentials across multiple services, the integration simplifies the user experience and reduces friction.
- Increased Interoperability: The on-chain attestations can be reused by any dApp within the Linea ecosystem, fostering seamless interoperability and a more connected user journey.
- Preserved Privacy: The solution ensures that user data remains private and secure, as it is not stored on centralized servers but rather recorded on the blockchain.

Ilya Brovin, Chief Growth Officer at Sumsub, commented, "Our integration with Linea marks a powerful next step in our mission to bring reusable, privacy-first identity to every corner of Web3. By combining gasless attestations with Layer 2 scalability, this rollout integration helps to ensure a more user-centric, secure, and interconnected Web3" [1].

This new integration builds on the Reusable Digital Identity launched by Sumsub in March, which allows individuals to pre-verify themselves and securely store and reuse their documents for multiple verifications across Sumsub client platforms.

In addition to the integration with Verax, Sumsub has partnered with DKM ECO to launch an APAC Roadshow called "Comply to fortify 2.0" in Hong Kong. The roadshow aims to provide essential details on licenses and regulatory requirements to fintechs, crypto firms, and virtual banks in the city and beyond [1].
