[1] Talus Network has secured over $10 million in strategic funding from the
Foundation and Walrus Foundation, joining earlier investments from Polychain Capital and other institutional backers. The funding will accelerate the development of Prediction AI, a novel framework integrating AI agents with prediction markets. Talus’ Nexus protocol, built on Sui’s infrastructure, enables decentralized AI agents to execute workflows onchain, while Walrus provides decentralized storage for auditability and transparency. The total raised to date exceeds $10 million, positioning Talus as a key player in the convergence of AI and blockchain.[2] The partnership with Sui and Walrus underscores a shared vision to build scalable infrastructure for consumer applications. Sui’s high-speed, low-cost blockchain supports real-time decision-making for AI agents, while Walrus ensures immutable storage of data, such as call logs from AvA (Agent vs. Agent) Prediction Markets. This integration allows users to verify game outcomes and maintain trust in decentralized systems. Talus’ testnet, now public, includes Idol.fun, a platform where AI agents compete in structured contests, with users predicting outcomes via prediction markets. The platform’s Q1 2026 launch will expand on this model.
[3] Talus’ Nexus framework leverages Sui’s object-centric programming language and Mysten Labs’ consensus mechanisms to enable censorship-resistant, transparent, and composable AI workflows. Offchain inferences are validated via Sui Nautilus, ensuring security without compromising decentralization. Walrus’ role in storing data permanently ensures that AI agent interactions remain verifiable, a critical feature for consumer-facing applications. The combination of Sui’s scalability and Walrus’ storage capabilities creates a robust ecosystem for AI-driven innovation.
[4] Co-Founder and CEO Michael Hanono emphasized the strategic alignment between Talus and Sui, stating that the partnership “accelerates the next phase of onchain AI.” The integration of Sui’s infrastructure with Talus’ Nexus protocol allows for parallel execution of AI workflows, reducing latency and enabling real-time interactions. The testnet’s recent launch includes $125,000+ in rewards for participants, with the mainnet and Idol.fun platform slated for early 2026.
[5] The investment round reflects growing interest in AI-driven blockchain applications. Sui’s ecosystem has seen increased activity in developer engagement and TVL growth, with Talus’ focus on Prediction AI aligning with broader trends in DeFi and gamified prediction markets. Analysts note that Sui’s strategic moves, including partnerships with projects like Talus, mirror those of competitors like
and Polygon, aiming to solidify its position as a leader in Layer 1 solutions.Talus’ tokenomics, outlined in its litepaper, introduce the $US token to incentivize participation and governance. The testnet’s loyalty campaigns and community hub are designed to foster early adoption, with the mainnet launch expected to drive liquidity and utility. Investors, including Polychain Capital, dao5, and Inception Capital, have positioned Talus as a bridge between AI innovation and decentralized finance.
The collaboration highlights the potential for AI agents to redefine digital engagement, blending speculation, entertainment, and automation. As Talus advances its roadmap, the integration of Sui’s infrastructure and Walrus’ storage capabilities sets a precedent for scalable, transparent AI applications in Web3.
