Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd was established on April 29, 2014 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Osisko Mining Corporation under the name "Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd/Redevances Aurifères Osisko Ltée" under the Business Corporation Act (Quebec). Osisko's main business focus is as an intermediate mining royalty and exploration company. Osisko's main business of exploring James Bay mainly includes acquisition, exploration and development of mining exploration assets. The company specializes in finding gold and base metal deposits in mostly unexplored areas of Quebec. Most of the activity takes place in the central region of Quebec, especially the James Bay region, which consists of several Achaean greenstone belts known to be very conducive to the existence of economic gold and base metal deposits.
