Blue Owl Capital Corporation is a Maryland corporation established on October 15, 2015. They were established primarily to originate and lend to US middle market companies, and to make debt and equity investments. They invest in senior secured or unsecured loans, subprime or mezzanine loans and, to a lesser extent, equity-related securities, including warrants, preferred stock and similar forms of senior equity, which may or may not be converted into common stock of portfolio companies. Their investment objectives are to generate current income and, to a lesser extent, capital appreciation through investment opportunities that target favorable risk-adjusted returns.
