Nexpoint Real Estate Finance, Inc., a newly formed commercial real estate company, was incorporated in Maryland on June 7, 2019. The company's strategy is to originate, organize and invest in first mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, preferred stock and alternative structured financings in commercial real estate properties as well as multi-family CMBS securitizations. The company will mainly focus on investments in the real estate sector, where its senior management team has operational expertise, including multi-family, SFR, self-storage, hotel and office sectors, mainly concentrated in the top 50 MSAs. In addition, the Company will primarily focus on lending or investing in properties that are stable or have a short transition business plan.
