Morgan Stanley Direct Lending Fund was incorporated in Delaware on May 30, 2019. The company is a non-diversified, externally managed professional finance company focused on lending to mid-market companies. They are externally managed by The Adviser, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Morgan Stanley. They are not a subsidiary of Morgan Stanley and are not merged with it. Their investment objectives are to achieve attractive risk-adjusted returns from current income and, to a lesser extent, capital appreciation by investing primarily in direct-originated senior secured term loans issued by U.S. middle market companies in which private equity sponsors have controlling stakes in portfolio companies.
