Moolec Science SA was established on 23 May 2022 under the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Moolec is an integrated ingredients and food technology platform focused on producing alternative proteins through two complementary methods: molecular farming and precision fermentation. The company uses crops such as soybeans and safflower to advance molecular agriculture projects to produce proteins and lipids that mimic animal functions at plant-based costs. Meanwhile, Moolec is developing a precision fermentation facility in Finland under the SynBio Powerlabs brand to produce target proteins, enzymes and biomolecules using an optimized microbial system. This dual approach improves time to market, spreads technical risk, and ensures production cost efficiency.
