The Company's power operations are located within the coverage of the Midwest Independent System Operator (MIDSO), including Hallador Power Company, LLC, which provides certified capacity and energy to utilities, and Sunrise Coal, LLC, which mines bituminous coal to supply coal to power plants in the Midwest and Southeast of the United States. Hallador Energy's business is divided into two parts: power operations and coal operations.
