Casella Waste Systems, Inc., is a vertical nodular solid waste, recycling and resource management service company. Established in 1975 with only one truck. It provides resource management technology and serves residential, commercial, urban, and industrial users, focusing on solid waste recovery, transshipment, clean-up, recycling and organic services. It has operations in six states: Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, Maine and Pennsylvania, and is headquartered in Rutland, Vermont. It manages its solid waste business through its two regional sales offices: eastern and western regions, each with a range of solid waste treatment services, operating its large-scale recycling and commodity brokerage business through its recycling system.
