Capital Southwest Corporation was incorporated as a Texas corporation on April 19, 1961. Until September 1969, the company operated as a licensee under the Small Business Investment Act of 1958. At that time, CSW transformed into its wholly-owned subsidiary, Capital Southwest Startup Company, with fixed assets and a license as a small business investment company. CSVC is a closed-end, non-diversified investment company under the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended (the "Act of 1940 "). CSMC usually incurs all normal operating and administrative expenses, including but not limited to wages and related benefits, rent, equipment and other administrative costs required for its day-to-day operations.
