STLA--

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has asked Stellantis to recall 1.46 million vehicles globally because of a potential failure in the software of the anti-lock braking system, which could increase the risk of a crash. According to the announcement, the vehicles to be recalled include 1.23 million Ram 1500 pickup trucks manufactured in 2019 and from 2021 to 2024, of which 123 million were sold in the United States, 61,000 in Canada, 13,000 in Mexico and 61,000 outside North America. Stellantis said it had not received any crash reports related to the potential defect. In addition, Stellantis announced a recall of 33,000 Jeep Gladiator and Wrangler vehicles manufactured from 2020 to 2024 because of a potential short circuit risk in the instrument panel.
