Stellantis is investing $41M in a new Mopar Parts Distribution Center in Forsyth, Georgia. The facility will feature an automated storage and retrieval system, enhancing order processing speed and inventory control. This project, along with previous investments, totals nearly $500M and reinforces Stellantis' commitment to strengthening its Mopar network across North America.
Stellantis (STLA) has announced a significant investment of over $41 million in a new Mopar Parts Distribution Center (PDC) in Forsyth, Georgia. Located approximately 60 miles south of Atlanta, the nearly 422,000-square-foot facility aims to bolster the company's U.S. parts distribution network [1].
The new center will feature a cutting-edge 16,000-square-foot AutoStore automated storage and retrieval system. This system employs 66 robots to efficiently retrieve parts from a high-density grid of bins, transporting them to processing stations where employees prepare final shipments. This advanced technology is expected to enhance order processing speed, accuracy, and inventory control while reducing the physical storage footprint [1, 2].
The investment supports about 90 United Auto Workers union-represented jobs, further emphasizing Stellantis' commitment to its workforce [2]. The new facility is part of a broader strategy to strengthen the Mopar network across North America. In July, Stellantis announced a $388 million investment to create a Metro Detroit Megahub, and earlier this year, it celebrated the opening of a $64 million PDC in East Fishkill, New York. Together, these projects total nearly $500 million, underscoring Stellantis' long-term commitment to enhancing its parts distribution capabilities [3].
The investment comes amid a challenging period for Stellantis, with a 13% drop in net revenues in the first half of 2025, primarily due to declines in the North American and Enlarged Europe regions [2]. Despite these challenges, the new PDC in Georgia represents a strategic move to improve service for dealers and customers across the Southeastern U.S. [1, 2].
