Figure Technologies, a blockchain-driven fintech company, has announced significant changes to its upcoming initial public offering (IPO). The company is increasing the number of shares from 26 million to 31.5 million and expanding the price range from $18 to $20 per share to $20 to $22 per share .The IPO, scheduled for September 10, 2025, aims to raise $526 million at the new valuation of $4.13 billion. The increased share count and price range reflect the growing investor interest in Figure Technologies' innovative use of blockchain technology in the lending sector. The company's proprietary Provenance blockchain has slashed home equity loan processing times from the industry average of 42 days to just 10 days, boosting its revenue and turning net profit positive .
The changes to the IPO offering come amidst a broader trend of increasing investor pragmatism toward blockchain use cases in fintech. Regulatory clarity in crypto-related services and successful public debuts of other blockchain-linked fintechs have normalized investor appetite for these ventures .
For investors, the expanded IPO offers a more significant stake in a high-growth fintech and a bet on blockchain's integration into mainstream finance. The company's valuation is justified by its operational metrics, with a price-to-revenue multiple of roughly 22x based on its 2025 H1 performance .
Figure Technologies' IPO serves as a litmus test for the sector. If the offering is oversubscribed, it could catalyze a wave of similar listings, lowering the bar for entry in the fintech IPO market and encouraging further innovation .
However, the company faces risks, including regulatory uncertainty around tokenized assets and competition from traditional banks and pure-play fintechs. Nevertheless, its first-mover advantage in blockchain-based lending and demonstrated profitability mitigate these concerns .
