SpartanNash Appoints Ed Rybicki and Brett Hoffman as IT Leaders

SpartanNash has appointed Ed Rybicki as SVP and Chief Information Officer and Brett Hoffman as VP and Chief Information Security Officer. Rybicki will oversee the company's technology team, focusing on innovation. Hoffman will lead the company's cybersecurity strategy across retail, supply chain, and corporate environments. The IT department will report to Executive Vice President and CFO Jason Monaco as part of the company's newly combined Finance/IT/Strategy organization.

Grand Rapids, Mich., July 2, 2025 — Food solutions company SpartanNash® (Nasdaq: SPTN) has appointed Ed Rybicki as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Brett Hoffman as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The appointments are part of the company's newly combined Finance/IT/Strategy organization, with the IT department reporting to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Jason Monaco.

Ed Rybicki brings 20 years of experience to his role as CIO, most recently serving as Chief Information and Technology Officer at Mastronardi Produce®. He will oversee SpartanNash's technology team, focusing on innovation, operational efficiency, and the company's growth strategy. Hoffman, who joins from Inspire Security Solutions®, will lead the company's cybersecurity strategy across retail, supply chain, and corporate environments.

Rybicki earned his bachelor's degree in organizational behavior from the University of Michigan and his master's degree in computer information systems from the University of Detroit Mercy. Hoffman holds a bachelor's degree in business and professional administration from Roosevelt University.
