SpaceX is acquiring $2.6 billion worth of AWS-3 spectrum licenses from EchoStar for shares in the aerospace company. This deal expands on a $17 billion agreement struck in September. The spectrum licenses will be used for SpaceX's Starlink satellites to build out its 5G connectivity network. The transaction is pending regulatory approval.
