Southern California Utility Joins Forces with Itron and Toumetis to Enhance Wildfire Mitigation and Electric Reliability through Advanced Analytics.

Itron and Toumetis have partnered with San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) to deploy advanced analytics to reduce wildfire risk and improve electric reliability in Southern California. The project combines Itron's high-resolution data from its endpoints with Toumetis' predictive analytics platform to detect emerging risk conditions, prioritize high-impact events, and accelerate field response. The goal is to reduce SAIFI and SAIDI by preventing outages and shortening restoration time. Initial work includes data integration and measuring results over time.
