South-east Queensland is bracing for a second straight day of storms, with the Bureau of Meteorology warning of possible hail. The region experienced heavy storms on Friday night, dumping 22mm of rain and leaving over 3200 properties without power. The BOM has warned of severe thunderstorms moving towards the east, with the potential for giant hailstones and destructive winds. The storms are expected to ease off after the weekend, with showers and storms possible through parts of southern Queensland and the NSW coastal fringe on Monday.
