Sony Announces Management Restructuring with Hiroki Totoki as New CEO and Kenichiro Yoshida as Chairman

Sony Group Corporation has announced changes to its management structure, effective April 1, 2025. Hiroki Totoki will take over as CEO and President, while Kenichiro Yoshida will become Chairman. The company will also designate Chief Executive Officers for its major businesses, Chief Officers for wide-ranging headquarters functions, and Corporate Executives for specific functions at the Group headquarters. Hiroki Totoki, Tsuyoshi Kodera, Yasuhiro Ito, and Lin Tao have been appointed as Chief Officers, and Hiroaki Kitanohas been appointed as Chief Technology Fellow.

In addition to these appointments, Hiroaki Kitano has been named as the Chief Technology Fellow. Kitano, a renowned researcher and professor, will provide strategic guidance on technology-related matters [1].

The management shakeup follows a period of significant growth and transformation for Sony. Under Yoshida's leadership, the company has expanded its presence in the gaming industry with the PlayStation 5 and has made strides in its imaging and sensor businesses.
