The surge in network activity has been largely driven by memecoin-related transactions, with platforms like Pump.fun accounting for a significant portion of the total value locked on Solana [8]. The rise in DeFi activity has also contributed to increased demand, with decentralized finance applications on Solana reaching $10.7 billion in total value locked [9]. However, the network’s native token, SOL, has seen a decline in value over the past few weeks, dropping from $208 to $187 [10].
