Sohu.com's Q3 2024 revenue was US$152 million, up 5% YoY.

On November 12, 2024, Sohu.com (SOHU.US) announced its financial report for the third quarter of 2024. The report showed that Sohu's total revenue in the third quarter was US$152 million, up 5% year-on-year. Among them, brand advertising revenue was US$19 million and online gaming revenue was US$128 million.

Sohu founder, chairman of the board of directors and CEO Zhang Chaoyang said: "In the third quarter of 2024, our brand advertising revenue reached the high end of our previous expectations, and online gaming revenue and net loss were better than expected."

The report showed that Sohu's total revenue in the third quarter of 2024 was US$152 million, and its net loss attributable to Sohu.com was US$12 million under non-US GAAP, which was better than expected. Sohu previously estimated a loss of US$30-40 million in the third quarter.

Overall, "in the media and video business, we are constantly optimizing products and improving user experience while integrating resources and holding diversified and characteristic projects and marketing activities, which has effectively promoted social interaction among users, enhanced brand influence, and created more commercial opportunities. Thanks to the high-quality content updates and stable game operations, the online gaming business performed better than expected," Zhang said.
