The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was officially opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai on November 5. The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 mobile platform, which has attracted much attention, made its debut at a large international exhibition in China. It is the most powerful and fastest mobile system-on-chip in the world to date. At the Qualcomm booth at the CIIE, several terminal-side AI large model applications based on the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 mobile platform were displayed, such as the GLM-4V terminal-side visual large model co-developed by Qualcomm and Zhipu, which supports four terminal-side interaction methods: text, voice, photos, and videos. In addition, Qualcomm showcased the running performance of Tencent's Mixpanel large model deployed on the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 mobile platform. Tencent's Mixpanel large model has provided underlying technical support for more than 700 business scenarios and C-end applications in Tencent, helping partners provide technical support for a wide range of business scenarios and further expanding the application and popularization of generative AI on the terminal side. In addition to mobile terminals, Qualcomm brings its connectivity technology and terminal-side AI performance to more terminal categories. In the PC field, Qualcomm showcased multiple Windows 11 AI PCs equipped with Snapdragon X-series co-developed by Lenovo, Microsoft, Asus, and Honor.
