Smurfit Westrock Partners with SLR and RIZM for Net Zero Transition Across European Recycled Paper Mills

Smurfit Westrock is partnering with SLR and RIZM to accelerate its net zero transition across European recycled paper mills. The collaboration will develop site-specific transition plans to achieve decarbonization, mitigate EU-ETS costs, and future-proof energy transition following market and policy shifts in Europe. SLR will lead studies, engage stakeholders, and provide data, while RIZM will provide software to build a digital twin of an energy system. The plans will guide execution of Smurfit Westrock's Net Zero Transition Plan in Europe.
