Sinclair Inc. has announced the launch of 'Sinclair Cares: Texas Tragedy Relief,' a national fundraising campaign in partnership with The Salvation Army to support those affected by recent flooding in Texas. The initiative, which began on July 8, 2025, aims to provide critical emergency assistance, including mobile feeding units, meals, hydration, shelter, clean-up kits, hygiene kits, and emotional care to survivors and first responders.
Rob Weisbord, Chief Operating Officer and President of Local Media at Sinclair, stated, "The devastation caused by the recent flooding is truly heartbreaking, and our deepest condolences go out to the families who have lost loved ones. Sinclair’s stations in San Antonio (KABB and WOAI) and Austin (KEYE) have been providing continuous coverage since the flooding began on July 4, expanding newscasts to include extended live coverage. To further support the effort, Sinclair has deployed 10 journalists and additional resources from other markets to assist with comprehensive coverage across all platforms.
