Shell (SHEL.US) Executive Committee Shakes Up Ahead of New Strategy Release
Shell (SHEL.US) announced that it is making further changes to its executive committee, with Zoe Yujnovich, head of integrated gas and upstream, to resign at the end of this month. Notably, ShellSHEL-- plans to announce its latest strategy for 2025 and beyond to investors in New York on March 25. Shell said in a statement on Tuesday that Cederic Cremers was appointed president of integrated gas and Peter Costello was appointed president of upstream, both of whom joined the executive committee. The appointments will take effect on April 1. Cederic Cremers was appointed executive vice president of Shell's liquefied natural gas in 2021, and since joining Shell in 2002, he has held a series of roles in multiple departments and countries. Peter Costello was appointed executive vice president of Shell's conventional oil and gas in 2021, and he joined Shell after the merger with BG Group in 2016, also holding multiple roles in several countries. This is the second personnel change in Shell's executive committee this year. In January, Shell announced the appointment of Andrew Smith as head of trading and supply and promoted him to the executive committee, marking the growing importance of the department to the oil and gas giant. Machteld de Haan was also promoted to the executive committee to head downstream, renewable energy and energy solutions.
