Shell CEO Wael Sawan is set to become one of the best-paid executives on the London Stock Exchange, with a potential pay packet of £19m a year. Sawan's base salary is just over £1.5m, but he could earn up to £13.8m in stock awards and a maximum annual bonus of £3.8m. His pay increase is due to Shell's focus on more profitable oil and gas operations, which has led to a 22% jump in shares since he took over in January 2023.
