Shanghai Disney Unveils Thrilling Spider-Man Coaster, Expands Marvel Universe

Shanghai Disney Resort has announced that it will introduce a brand-new Spider-Man themed attraction at Shanghai Disneyland, marking the first extensive Marvel-themed landmark at the park. This new attraction will be centered around the much-loved Marvel superhero Spider-Man and promises an exhilarating roller coaster experience. Earlier this year, Shanghai Disney Resort revealed the commencement of preparatory work for another major new attraction within the park, which will be adjacent to the recently opened Zootopia-themed area. Today, during the 2024 D23 Expo, Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, unveiled the theme of this new attraction during his "Horizons - D23 Disney Experiences Showcase" presentation. As the latest addition to Shanghai Disney Resort's ongoing expansion projects, preparatory construction for this new Marvel-themed attraction had already begun earlier this year. Alongside this new attraction, the resort is also expanding with the addition of a third Disney-themed hotel, located next to the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel.
