The initiative aims to enhance industrial competitiveness through innovation and education, with a focus on accessibility and a goal of upskilling 3 million people by 2027.
ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW) and SENAI-SP, Latin America's largest technical education institution, have announced a collaborative initiative to launch a statewide AI skills program in Brazil. This program, part of ServiceNow University, aims to equip hundreds of learners with critical AI and digital workflow skills in 2025. The initiative is designed to align with Brazil's National Digital Transformation Strategy and SENAI-SP's mission to enhance industrial competitiveness through innovation and education.
The program will offer localized AI training in Portuguese, combining instructor-led courses, practical labs, and real-world case studies. Students will gain technical skills in AI, digital workflow automation, and low-code/no-code development, along with certification pathways and job readiness support. This comprehensive approach ensures that learners can directly connect their learning to employment opportunities.
Federico Grosso, Group Vice President of Latin America at ServiceNow, underscored the significance of the partnership, stating, "This partnership is more than an educational initiative; it is a catalyst for Brazil's digital future. By combining scale, technology, and employability, we are training and preparing Brazilians to thrive in the rapidly evolving digital economy. These skills are critical to our growing ecosystem of customers and partners who rely on ServiceNow to drive innovation and productivity."
The initiative is set to train hundreds of learners in 2025, contributing to ServiceNow University's global goal of upskilling 3 million people by 2027. SENAI-SP, with its extensive network and credibility in local communities, will ensure broad access to the program, particularly for youth apprentices, jobseekers, and career-switchers.
Emerson Costa Santos, Director of the SENAI-SP Information Technology Unit, emphasized the importance of integrating ServiceNow's AI Platform into the training ecosystem, stating, "Preparing professionals for the challenges of the digital economy requires foresight and strong industry ties. By integrating ServiceNow’s AI Platform into our training ecosystem, we are giving students a competitive edge aligned with Industry 4.0."
The program is fully localized, providing Portuguese-language training and content tailored to the region's job market. It builds on a successful pilot program that achieved over 70% certification completion rate and strong graduate employability. The initiative is expected to be available later this year and may serve as a model for broader expansion in Latin America.
