Serbian President Vucic's Health Incident Prompts Work Suspension

On May 3, the head of the Military Medical Management Bureau of the Serbian Ministry of Defense and a heart specialist, Dragan Dincic, announced that President Aleksandar Vucic's current health condition is stable. However, it is expected that he will not be able to fully resume his normal work in the coming days.

Dincic explained that Vucic experienced chest pain during his visit to the United States. Although the symptoms were brief, those present indicated that the duration might have been slightly longer. Vucic then took enhanced medication on his own. Approximately 45 minutes later, when U.S. doctors arrived to examine him, his blood pressure was still at 165/98, indicating an abnormal increase at the time of the incident. Although Vucic underwent necessary examinations, he ultimately decided to return home early.

Around 1:00 PM local time on May 3, Vucic arrived at the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade. After further examination, the medical team confirmed his stable condition and adjusted the treatment plan. It is expected that he will be discharged soon, but he will continue to receive medical observation and temporarily suspend his daily work in the short term.

Serbian Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar also attended the press conference.
