Sentient, an artificial general intelligence firm, has completed a record-breaking NFT mint, with over 650,000 participants securing fractional ownership of its decentralized AI model, Dobby. The project, called "Fingerprints," required users to prove their humanity through a randomized IQ test. The aim is to create a community-owned AI protocol, with Sandeep Nailwal, founder of Polygon and a core contributor to Sentient, stating that the first AGI should be community-controlled to "guarantee its loyalty."

Meanwhile, Ethereum layer-2 project MegaETH has launched an NFT collection called The Fluffle, which grants network participants ownership stakes. The collection has 10,000 pieces and represents 5% of the MegaETH network. The assets are soulbound, meaning they cannot be transferred. The NFTs will be sold at 1 Ether each, potentially netting the project around $28 million. MegaETH chose to launch a soulbound collection to avoid "invasive" Know Your Customer requirements and to remain anti-Sybil while using stringent Anti-Money Laundering procedures.

In other news, OpenSea CEO Devin Finzer has denied rumors circulating on X about an NFT airdrop and its associated terms and conditions. Finzer called the rumors "completely false" and stated that what the community saw was simply a "test website." NFT infrastructure provider Reservoir, which caters to clients like Coinbase, MetaMask, and Magic Eden, has raised $14 million in a funding round led by tech venture capital firm Union Square Ventures. The funds will be used to expand its infrastructure to new marketplaces and to provide tools for indexing token images and data.
