AWS Verified Access (AVA) allows secure access to Amazon FSx for Windows File Server without the need for a traditional VPN. AVA eliminates VPN infrastructure, enforces granular access control, and improves user experience. The solution architecture involves authenticating users against the AVA endpoint, IAM Identity Center, and FSx Active Directory. To implement AVA, deploy FSx in Single-AZ 1 mode and collect networking information, then configure and deploy AVA endpoints. Users can connect to FSx file shares using the AVA Connectivity client.
