The E.W. Scripps Company completed its merger with Journal and spun off its newspaper business into a separate publicly traded company on April 1, 2015. The company also acquired two television stations from Granite Broadcasting Corporation for $110 million in cash on June 16, 2014. The unaudited pro forma condensed combined statement of operations for the year ended December 31, 2014 includes the results of the Granite Acquisition for the period from June 16, 2014 through December 31, 2014.
