N-able, Inc. (NYSE: NABL), a global software company delivering an end-to-end cyber resiliency platform, recently showcased its capabilities in saving a well-established regional CPA firm from a business-crippling ransomware attack, according to a StockTitan report
.
The attack occurred just days before critical federal tax deadlines, with adversaries exploiting a known SonicWall vulnerability to infiltrate the firm’s network. However, N-able’s UEM solution, N-central, alerted the CRS team in real-time as servers began to fail, enabling immediate action to contain the threat and minimize downtime, as detailed in the StockTitan report. The N-able Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution’s behavioral AI swiftly isolated compromised endpoints and cut off the attackers mid-stride, preventing further spread, the StockTitan report added.
CRS Technology Consultants also benefited from the ultimate safety net provided by N-able’s Cove Data Protection solution, which had backed up the firm’s critical servers and cloud workloads offsite. Even though local backups were destroyed, the cloud copies were untouched and fully intact, ensuring business continuity, the StockTitan report noted.
The swift response allowed the CPA firm to restore operations and meet all tax deadlines, with the CRS team transforming a potentially devastating attack into a showcase of resilience. In the aftermath, CRS reinforced its defenses by making N-able's Adlumin MDR a standard, non-negotiable service for its clients, closing the loop on true end-to-end business resilience, according to the StockTitan report.
“Our client expected to be down for one to two weeks but instead, they were back to work by lunchtime and fully operational by the end of the day, ensuring they met every tax deadline thanks to the layered defense provided by N-able,” said John Joyce, CEO of CRS Technology Consultants. “We share these experiences openly because if our lessons can help prevent another organization from going through the same ordeal, that makes it worthwhile,” the StockTitan report quoted.
N-able’s mission is to protect businesses against evolving cyberthreats with an end-to-end cyber resiliency platform to manage, secure, and recover. Their scalable technology infrastructure includes AI-powered capabilities, market-leading third-party integrations, and the flexibility to employ technologies of choice to transform workflows and deliver critical security outcomes, as noted in a MarketScreener article
