Petros, a state-owned oil exploration company in Sarawak, has signed deals with Japan Organisation for Metals and Energy Security (Jogmec) for an onshore exploration project in the Mukah-Balingian region. The company has also signed agreements with SC Tubular Solutions Malaysia and Superconducting Sensor Technology Corp for exploration, and with Woodside Energy for carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) projects. These collaborations aim to develop local capabilities, enhance exploration accuracy, and unlock greater potential from Sarawak's resources.
