The proposed solution leverages the Allowance benefit type and the Integration Center to address this challenge. The process involves three key steps:
1. Configuring the Benefit Type: The benefit type is set as Allowance instead of Reimbursement. Payroll Integration Mode is configured to Benefit Objects, and eligibility rules, such as probation periods and proration for mid-year joiners, are maintained using MDF Objects (lookup tables) to map entitlement amount variations based on pay grade, legal entity, and employee group.
2. Automating Posting to One-Time Payments: An Integration Center job is used to fetch the entitlement amount from the Benefit Enrollment Object and post it into the Pay Component Non-Recurring (Spot Bonus portlet) automatically. This job is scheduled to run daily to catch new enrollments and probation completions.
3. Ensuring Eligibility Rules: The automated process ensures that entitlements are consistent with the defined eligibility rules, making the process fully automated and auditable.
The result of this automation is a streamlined process that eliminates the need for manual entry by HR/Payroll teams. The solution ensures that entitlements are accurately and consistently posted, reducing the risk of errors and improving efficiency.
This solution is particularly beneficial for organizations in the Middle East where expatriate employees are entitled to annual airfare or travel allowances. By automating this process, organizations can save time and resources while ensuring compliance with eligibility rules.

A solution is proposed to automate the reimbursement/claim-type benefit using the Allowance benefit type and Integration Center in SAP SuccessFactors Benefits module. The solution involves configuring the benefit type, automating posting to one-time payments, and ensuring eligibility rules are maintained.
