Santander aims to shed €40-45bn of credit risk in 2026 through significant risk transfers and other capital-relief tools. The bank expects offerings to match the pace set in 2025 and is discussing at least eight SRT deals with investors, including two potential transactions tied to residential mortgages in Portugal and Spain. The lender is also considering deals tied to loan portfolios from its Latin American units and auto loan portfolios in Norway and the UK.
