Sanrio Diversifies with Kuromi Netflix Series

Sanrio, the company behind Hello Kitty, is promoting its "edgy" character Kuromi in a diversification drive to build up its brands' international following. A Netflix series titled "My Melody & Kuromi" will launch later this month, marking the latest collaboration with the streaming service. The company aims to extend and deepen its characters' global fan base.
