Samsung Electronics shares rose 5% after reports said the company plans to begin mass production of its next-generation HBM4 memory chips in February. The chips are designed for AI accelerators and data center processors and are intended for Nvidia's next-generation AI platform, Rubin. Rival SK Hynix also plans to begin HBM4 production around the same time, with shares rising 2%. Analysts are constructive on Samsung's memory business due to recovering pricing and rising AI infrastructure spending demand.
