(NYSE:CRM) and Alphabet Inc.'s (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Google Cloud division have deepened their strategic alliance, unveiling a suite of AI-driven innovations that integrate Google's Gemini models into Salesforce's Agentforce 360 platform. The partnership, announced on October 16, aims to redefine enterprise workflows by leveraging hybrid reasoning, large action models, and cross-platform integrations with Google Workspace and Slack, positioning the Agentic Enterprise as a new standard for business automation, according to a Yahoo Finance report.

The collaboration centers on enhancing Salesforce's Atlas Reasoning Engine-the backbone of Agentforce 360-with Gemini's multimodal intelligence. This integration enables AI agents to tackle complex, multistep tasks with improved accuracy and consistency. A key advancement is the introduction of hybrid reasoning, which combines the creativity of AI with the reliability of structured business processes. For instance, AI agents can now automate lead qualification, schedule meetings in Google Calendar, and analyze IT service trends using Looker-all while maintaining compliance with enterprise workflows, according to TechBuild.

Salesforce and Google also expanded the capabilities of large action models (LAMs), which automate not just text-based tasks but entire business processes. Fine-tuned Gemini models have demonstrated superior performance against key CRM benchmarks compared to industry-leading large language models (LLMs), enabling more precise automation of workflows in sales, customer service, and IT operations. Users can now access Salesforce Customer 360 apps like Agentforce Sales and Service directly within Gmail, Meet, Docs, and Sheets. For example, a website visitor can trigger an Agentforce Sales conversation in Gmail, with the system automatically qualifying leads and scheduling follow-ups in Google Calendar. This unified experience extends to IT operations, where Agentforce IT Service automates access management to Google Workspace and enhances device security via ChromeOS, according to MarketingEdge.

The integration with Slack further amplifies the Agentic Enterprise vision. Gemini Enterprise users can now interact with AI agents directly within Slack, leveraging real-time search capabilities to ground responses in organizational conversations and files.
