Safe Bulkers Announces Acquisition of Two Newbuild Kamsarmax Class Dry-bulk Vessels

Safe Bulkers has agreed to acquire two newbuild Kamsarmax class dry-bulk vessels with scheduled delivery dates in Q3 2028 and Q1 2029. The vessels are designed to meet IMO GHG Phase 3 requirements and NOx-Tier III regulations. This acquisition is part of the company's fleet renewal strategy to increase competitiveness and resiliency. Safe Bulkers already has an outstanding orderbook of eight newbuild vessels, including two methanol dual fuel vessels.
