Safe Bulkers has agreed to acquire two newbuild, 82,500 dwt, dry-bulk vessels with scheduled delivery dates in Q3 2028 and Q1 2029. The vessels meet Phase 3 EEDI requirements and NOx-Tier III regulations, and are sister ships to existing fleet vessels with advanced energy efficiency. The company has already taken delivery of twelve IMO GHG Phase 3 – NOx Tier III vessels.
