Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the current Indian Premier League champion, has agreed to be sold to a consortium of Indian and US investors for nearly $1.8 billion. The new owners, led by Aditya Birla Group, The Times of India Group, Bolt Ventures, and Blackstone, will also acquire the franchise's Women's Premier League team. The deal is subject to BCCI and regulatory approvals. RCB is one of the original eight IPL teams and features Indian star Virat Kohli.
