Rogers Communications is selling its data centers to InfraRed Capital Partners. Rogers is a Canadian wireless, cable, and media company that provides connectivity and entertainment services to consumers and businesses. The sale of its data centers will support its focus on its core wireless, cable, and media businesses.

Rogers Communications has agreed to sell its data centers business to InfraRed Capital Partners, a leading international infrastructure asset manager. The transaction is part of Rogers' strategy to focus on its core wireless, cable, and media businesses.

InfraRed Capital Partners, which manages US$13bn of equity capital for investors worldwide, will acquire Rogers' data centers business. This includes nine Tier 2 and 3 data centers across key Canadian cities, with a capacity of up to 49 MW and a range of secure colocation, cloud, and managed services [1].

The sale is expected to be completed by the end of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approval. The acquisition aligns with InfraRed's value-add strategy, which focuses on investing in companies with long-term growth potential and strong fundamentals.

Rogers' data centers business has an established footprint, a strong operational team, and a diverse customer base. The business is well-positioned to meet the evolving demands of customers, particularly in the secure and reliable data center services segment.
