Rivian is rolling out its new software update 2024.35, which enhances safety with features like live Gear Guard Cam access and improved adaptive headlights. The update also adds a third climate zone for passenger comfort and clearer visualizations of ride setting changes. In anticipation of Halloween, Rivian teased a Knight Rider-inspired lighting mode for its EVs.

As Rivian continues its commitment to improving the ownership experience for its flagship R1T pickup and R1S SUV models, the American electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer has recently rolled out its latest software update, version 2024.35. This significant upgrade brings a host of new features that enhance safety, passenger comfort, and even a touch of Halloween spirit.

According to RivianTrackr (1), this update includes the ability to view live camera feeds from your Rivian on your phone, a much-anticipated feature for owners seeking enhanced security. Moreover, tri-zone climate control has been added to both models, ensuring that passengers in the rear seats enjoy a comfortable temperature setting as well.

In terms of safety enhancements, Rivian has also introduced improved adaptive headlights with this update. This feature allows the headlights to automatically adjust their brightness and distribution based on driving conditions, providing enhanced visibility and safety for drivers. Furthermore, the latest update includes hundreds of bug fixes for both first and second-generation Rivian vehicles, ensuring a smooth and reliable driving experience.

In addition to these practical improvements, Rivian has also added a Halloween-inspired lighting mode as a teaser for the upcoming holiday. This feature, reminiscent of the iconic Knight Rider TV series, adds a touch of fun and excitement to Rivian EVs, making them stand out even more on the road.

While Rivian has been focusing on continuous improvement for its flagship models, the company is also working on new models, such as the R2 and R3, which are expected to offer even more advanced features and capabilities. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting developments.
