RingCentral, Inc. (NYSE: RNG) has announced significant enhancements to its AI Receptionist (AIR) service, including appointment booking with Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook, and expanded language support in UK and Australian English, Spanish, and French. These updates are part of RingCentral's ongoing effort to provide businesses with powerful AI tools to improve customer interactions and operational efficiency.

The latest iteration of AIR, known as AIR Everywhere, allows businesses to integrate AI-powered call handling into their third-party telephony systems, both on-premises and cloud-based. This feature enables businesses to add AIR to their existing setup without complex transitions or migrations, making it accessible and cost-effective for a wider range of companies.

According to Kira Makagon, President and COO of RingCentral, the market response to AIR has been strong, with the customer base tripling in a single quarter. AIR is now used by over 3,000 businesses across various industries, including healthcare, professional services, construction and real estate, financial services, and retail. For example, Axis Integrated Mental Health, a mental healthcare provider, has seen a 60% increase in new patient intakes, translating to an additional $1.7 million in revenue, leveraging AIR [1].

The new capabilities of AIR include seamless appointment scheduling in Outlook and Google Calendars, which eliminates the back-and-forth often associated with manual scheduling and streamlines customer service. Additionally, AIR now supports multilingual calls in UK and Australian English, Spanish, and French, catering to diverse customer bases and improving accessibility.

AIR Everywhere provides several benefits to businesses, including easy setup, flexible usage across different phone systems, and cost-effective AI-powered call handling without the need for a full UCaaS bundle. This makes it an attractive option for solopreneurs and small teams looking to enhance their communication infrastructure.

Denise Lund, Research Vice President, Worldwide UC&C and Telecom at IDC, highlights the differentiation of AIR Everywhere in its ability to be deployed across multiple UCaaS and CCaaS environments at a compelling price point [2].

RingCentral AIR will be available in the UK and Australia by the end of September, with controlled availability starting at $59 monthly for 100 minutes, and additional 100-minute bundles available for purchase. Pricing in the UK starts at 32 GBP, and in Australia, it starts at 62 AUD [1].
