Renault India has announced a significant discount campaign for its Kwid, Triber, and Kiger models, effective from May 1, 2025, to May 31, 2025. The initiative, part of the company's ongoing efforts to boost sales and market share, offers substantial cash discounts and exchange/scrappage bonuses.
The Kwid MY24 models are eligible for a Rs 50,000 cash discount and an additional up to Rs 50,000 exchange/scrappage bonus. This makes the total discount for these models up to Rs 1 lakh. The Kiger MY25 models are also part of the campaign, receiving offers worth up to Rs 60,000, including a cash discount and scrappage/exchange bonus. The campaign is open to all customers and does not have any specific eligibility criteria.
Additionally, Renault India offers corporate discounts up to Rs 10,000 for approved corporate and PSUs, and rural discounts of Rs 4,000 for farmers, Sarpanch, and Gram panchayat members. Each customer is entitled to either the corporate or rural offer, subject to the availability of valid documents.
The company has also reserved the right to change, modify, or cancel the mentioned schemes and conditions without prior notice. The benefits are applicable for bookings and retail sales from May 1, 2025, to May 31, 2025.
This discount campaign comes at a time when the Indian EV market is witnessing significant growth, with increasing consumer interest in affordable and efficient electric vehicles. Renault's Kwid EV, based on the Dacia Spring EV, is expected to compete in the affordable EV segment with models like the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV. The Kwid EV, with its 26.8 kWh battery and 225 km range, is positioned to be a strong contender in this segment [1].
